Marib Gas Power Station

Marib Gas Power Station is an electricity-generation facility in Marib Governorate, Yemen, associated with the Public Electricity Corporation. Its generation technology uses natural-gas-fired turbines. In 2022, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced an agreement to maintain three Siemens-manufactured gas turbines at the station.

Safer E&P Operations Company (SEPOC)

Safer Exploration & Production Operations Company (SEPOC) is a Yemeni oil and gas company. In 2005, it took over the management and operation of Block 18 in the Marib-Al Jawf area. Its activities include oil, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas production, as well as supplying natural gas to Marib Power Station.

Ras Katenib Power Station

Ras Katenib Power Station is a thermal power station in the Hodeidah area of Yemen. It is associated with the Public Electricity Corporation. Engineering project documentation describes five steam turbines in its generation system.

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is the government body responsible for policies and planning in Yemen's electricity and energy sector. It implements programmes to develop the electricity system through the Public Electricity Corporation and other relevant bodies. Its areas of work include renewable energy, demand management and energy efficiency.

The Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) is a Yemeni state-owned electricity utility. Its operational remit includes electricity generation, transmission and distribution through power stations and networks. Its institutional structure includes a central administration and provincial divisions.

Ministry of Oil and Minerals

The Ministry of Oil and Minerals is the government body responsible for managing and developing Yemen's oil, gas and mineral resources sectors. It develops sector policies and strategies and promotes investment. Its remit includes oversight of exploration and production, negotiating agreements and regulating mineral-resource exploitation under applicable laws.
